Welcome! Thank you for staying with Taylor Rentals. This handbook covers everything you need during your stay.

Arriving

Check-in: after 4:00 PM. Checkout: by 11:00 AM.
Getting here: From I-26, take Exit 110 onto US-378 (Sunset Blvd) toward Lexington Medical Center. At the first light, turn left onto Harbor Dr. Go about two blocks, turn right onto Oakwood Dr, then left onto Melody Dr to number 1035.
Parking: room for 3 cars in the driveway, 1 covered and 2 uncovered. Large vehicles, moving vans and vehicles with large trailers can park directly across the road.
Front door: Yale smart lock. Your code arrives in a separate message a day or two before you arrive. Touch the Yale logo, enter your code, then press ✓. To lock, hold the Yale logo for one second.
Please ring the doorbell camera when you arrive and when you leave, so we have your check-in and checkout times.

Bedrooms: 3 bedrooms with queen beds, plus a couch in the living room. Sleeps up to 6.
Bathrooms: 1 full bath and 1 half bath, with grab bars.
Kitchen: full kitchen with a coffee bar. There's no dishwasher.
Washer and dryer: in the kitchen area, beside the back door.
Wi-Fi: network name and password are in your arrival message.

Both TVs are Samsung Crystal UHD 4K smart TVs.

Turn on or off: press the power button on the remote.
Streaming apps: press the Home button. Please sign in with your own accounts, and sign out before you leave.
Volume and channels: push the volume rocker up or down; press it in to mute. Use the channel rocker the same way.
Voice control: press and hold the microphone button, say what you want, then let go.
Remote not working? Point it at the TV and hold Return and Play/Pause together for about 3 seconds.

Change the temperature: use the up and down arrows on the main screen. Your change lasts until the "Hold Until" time shown.
Heat or cool: touch MODE, choose Heat or Cool, then touch Done.
Fan: touch FAN, choose Automatic or On, then touch Done.
Back to normal: touch Cancel Hold.

A Tesla Universal Wall Connector is beside the covered carport. It's free for guests.

To charge: park in the covered space and plug in. No card or app is needed.
Plug types: NACS (Tesla) and J1772, so it works with Teslas and most other electric cars.
Speed: up to 48 amps (11.5 kW). The actual speed depends on your car.

Up to two pets per stay; please add them when you book.
Fenced backyard with a pet shelter and a pet door.
Aggressive breeds, such as Pit Bulls, aren't allowed. Service animals are always welcome, at no charge.

No parties or gatherings, and no smoking or vaping anywhere on the property.
Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Noise levels are monitored.
Only registered guests may stay or visit.
Outdoor security cameras, including the video doorbell, are in use. There are no cameras inside.

The trash bin is at the rear entrance. Please bag all trash.

Checkout is by 11:00 AM. Late checkout must be approved in advance, and no later than 1:00 PM.
Take your belongings, lock the door, and ring the doorbell on your way out.
Optional but appreciated: rinse dishes, start a load of used towels, and put trash in the outdoor can.

Emergencies: call 911. Nearest hospital: Lexington Medical Center, close by on US-378.
Main water shut-off: in the yellow bedroom. As you walk in, look on the right-hand side near the corner for a wall access panel at eye level.
Power out, whole house dark: check whether neighbors have power too. If it's a wider outage, please let us know.
Power out, only part of the house: don't try to fix it. The breaker box is in a locked closet. Contact us below.
